Other related fields such as Projects Control, QA/QC Inspection, 3D Geometrical and Intelligent Modeling, and Drafting are also available.

Our client is looking for a Senior Structural Designer to work on-site at their Houston office. Our ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced Structural Designer with expertise in the petrochemical industry, specifically in the use of S3D software. As a Structural Designer in their company, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing structures for petrochemical plants.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed structural designs for petrochemical plants using S3D software.
  • Develop structural models, calculations, and drawings based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction professionals to ensure accurate design implementation. 
  • Conduct structural analysis to assess the integrity and stability of designs.
  • Identify potential issues or risks related to structural design and propose solutions.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and fabrication materials.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies in the petrochemical industry.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers or drafters as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Structural Designer in the petrochemical industry.
  • Expertise in using S3D software for structural design is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for conducting structural analysis and identifying potential issues.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or other drafting software, preferred.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
