Piping Designer - CADWorx

Edoxx Technical Services LLC is a US Company based in Houston, Texas, with access to +350 highly experienced and advanced Engineers and Technicians delivering know-how and expertise in Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering. Other related fields such as Projects Control, QA/QC Inspection, 3D Geometrical and Intelligent Modeling, and Drafting are also available.

Our client is looking for a Senior Piping Designer to work on-site at their Katy, Tx office for a 1-year contract. Our ideal candidate will be someone highly skilled with expertise in the petrochemical industry and proficiency in Cadworx. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our engineering team, responsible for designing and creating accurate piping layouts for various petrochemical projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed piping design specifications, considering project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Utilize Cadworx software to create 2D and 3D models of piping systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver designs that meet client expectations.
• Conduct thorough technical reviews of piping designs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Attend project meetings to provide expertise on technical aspects related to piping design.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers on piping design techniques and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Piping Designer in the petrochemical industry or realted field.
• Proficiency in using Cadworx software of piping systems is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of piping materials, components, fittings, valves, and equipment used in the petrochemical industry.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, API 570, ASME Section VIII Div.1.
• Familiarity with plant layout concepts and ability to coordinate with other disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical) for integrated designs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
